Top 10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day – the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader – you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.

Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers. These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.

Top 10 Tips

10. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that’s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger’s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry – it’s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important – it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at http://blogcarnival.com/.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it’s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it’s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it’s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have – your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your “Resource Box”. You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

Hi Everyone,

What if I were to show you how to make money using affiliate marketing, and tell you what steps to take, without charging you for the information? Would you listen? What if I summed everything up and gave you direction, so you would be equipped with the knowledge needed to make a legitimate income, even if you don’t have OR want a website? How about in addition, I break down advertising strategies, and tell you how to make the best of internet traffic, so you don’t go OUT of business once you start? Does any of this sound good? Well, I am about to tell you FOR FREE how to get a brand new marketing business off the ground. Even if you are a slow learner and have VERY limited time, I can assure you that this information can allow you to retire from your nine to five lifestyle within your first year of business. All you need to do is learn and apply it.

So let’s start from the beginning. In order to make money online you need three things: The mindset to succeed and not quit. The skills to put knowledge into action. And last, a good product or service to promote, so you are not selling junk and building a bad reputation for yourself.

Well, to have the mindset to succeed, you simply need the passion to do whatever it takes, and it appears that you already have that or you wouldn’t be here right now. So, great.

The skill comes with practice. Once you start DOING it, it starts to make sense. Slowly but surely you can put together a network of affiliate links all across the internet to build yourself a flow of immediate as well as residual income.

Finding a good product or service to promote is actually pretty simple. You have seen hundreds of scams yourself, I’m sure. Use your instincts. Your gut will tell you what and who is legitimate.

So, let’s get started. Let’s say your long term goal is to build a website that rivals the big corporations, but there is too much work involved if you are new to marketing. Many people buy a template, fill in the blanks, and call it good. After spending a few hundred dollars in pay per click ads, they quit because they haven’t made ANY money. I know, some people have to learn the hard way. You can tell if a site was put together too fast, or if the person has no idea what they are doing. Even if you have a couple affiliate links on your site that would make you money, the sales won’t come in because your site looks cheap. Bottom line.

Here is the good news. Technically, you don’t need a website to make money. If you go to Clickbank.com you can register for free as an affiliate. Go through their list of programs and choose an ebook or membership program to promote. Click where it says to create an affiliate link. When it comes up, it should look something like yournickname.thecompanyyoulike.hop.clickbank.net/. Now, you can buy ads and put your link in them to send visitors to the site you are promoting. When someone clicks on this it will send them directly to the company website. When a sale is made on the site, your affiliate link is tracked back to Clickbank and they will send you a check for a percentage of the sale. Clickbank sends out checks to all their affiliates every two weeks. They are the biggest “affiliate network” online and act as a middleman to make all financial transactions safe and secure. So if you do that, you will make money without a website, MAYBE. For one, pay per click can be very dangerous to a beginner (I will explain more) and for two, your commissions will only be $20. You know, give or take a little.

There is another problem too. When doing PPC, people want to click YourName.com, not some long ridiculous link. They don’t want another affiliate to make money. So what do you do. You buy a domain name, redirect the url to your affiliate link, and BAM. You have YourName.com. You can do this using GoDaddy.com and they have video tutorials if you can’t figure it out.

So, assuming you have a product to promote, how should you advertise? As far as pay per click ads, I would stick with the popular search engines, and bid cheap. The best way is to actually have different ads in different search engines. Use very specific ad content too, so you have targeted traffic (and you get charged less.) There is nothing worse than having people click your ads that are not really interested in what you are offering. This will result in loss of funds and very few sales. Don’t get into bidding wars either, where you are fighting for the top spot in a certain search result. Everyone clicks on the number one spot out of curiosity. Most clicks don’t covert into sales. It is actually better to be number 5, 6, or 7, than 1 or 2. Even if you are 6 pages down because your bid is so low, eventually someone will see your ad. The best part about this is, the person who clicked your ad is TRULY interested in what you are offering, and this will most likely result in a sale. You could make $30 off a $.05 ad. If you were to repeat that over and over, you would become wealthy your first year.

Now I have to clarify that I am speaking of PPC above. If you have high organic ranking that you didn’t pay for, then by all means, get as close to the top as you can. But if you are a beginner, you don’t have to worry about having organic ranking any time soon.

Ad costs keep going up.  You won’t even be able to get listed for a $0.05 bid nowadays.  They will make you pay WAY more than that or your ad won’t even show.  What a pain, right?  Yes… but the story isn’t over yet.

If you don’t have the money to do paid advertising, no big deal. I have advertised in every avenue know to man. You know what? This is my favorite. Writing articles that give me free permanent links to my website. It takes a while to build traffic this way, but it is VERY effective once you have put in your time. There is plenty of free information available. Anything you don’t understand, just Google it, and read what comes up.

Submit your articles manually, or at least do due research. Automatic submission may not always work the way they claim it does. You pay for it. It gets blocked as spam. They keep your money, and you get nothing. They are not all like that, but just be careful what you pay for.  I have even used “article submitting software” and it’s not that great.  It doesn’t even work on half of the websites so it’s more of a pain than a help.  Plus, directories hate auto submission.  Just do it manually and everyone is happy.

I have read ebooks from numerous membership companies that offer affiliate websites. I actually bought the memberships and read the information. I have gained vast knowledge through most of them, though some were junk. I’m sure you know that you can get a free affiliate website with the purchase of an ebook or whatever from many gurus. They give you a “review” site. The kind that say, “I have reviewed 617.5 websites (like that is even possible) and here are the top 3 ways to make $713.18 a day online.  Give me a break.  Just because you quote some “exact” number doesn’t make it REAL.  The people that get these sites for free and promote them have no idea what they are even promoting, they just want a commission from Clickbank for the sale. Plus they never even reviewed 600 sites in the first place. It is a complete lie.

KNOW WHAT YOU ARE SELLING.

I have much more to share, but I know your time is limited.  I could build you an ORIGINAL website that is keyword targeted, and search engine optimized.  Plus there are a few more traffic tips and things like that on the website too.

To Your Success,

Why Businesses Need your Help?

We all want to make money and what better way to do it than to do it online. You are reading this as you want to make money online or want to make more than what you are making right now. Even though there is a gold mine right under your nose, you are not paying any attention to it. There are a lot of people out there who have at least one website up and yet are not making any money out of it. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to get paid every time we put up a website instead of waiting for an affiliate commission or an Adsense check?

Promoting, that is where the money is and if you want to make some then you are much better off promoting a few small to medium sized business. This is a much more effective way to make some serious money as you can earn more in a few hours of promoting than you would do by way of a year of affiliate marketing! There are many companies that need a website but do not know whom to approach regarding this. As it is, I cannot undertake promoting every single one of them as there are so many, so I would seriously suggest that you consider doing this as there is money to be made!

There is no point in making excuses, so let’s not go there. If your main worry is that you are new to all this and lack the online experience, don’t worry. At the most, it will only take you a few weeks to learn how to set up a decent looking blog. Once you have done that, you can then market it to many of the small business owners. On talking to some of them, you would be able to see how easy it is to get paid for the services that you provide them. Then you can go about and learn all the intricacies of setting up auto responders, doing pay per click advertising and how to do a search engine optimization, etc.

You may have noticed that it is much easier task to promote a business from your area than it is to try and promote one that may not be there for long. It is also most definitely much easier than it is to try and promote a product that thousands are already selling. To check this out, just go out and talk to some of the business owners to gauge their point of view.

When you set out to talk to the small business owners it is always a good idea to call them ahead and to see if they can make an appointment for you. It is a good idea to choose a business from a sector that is performing well, so avoid real estate as it is facing a slump these days. When you meet the business owners do not pitch them your project right away but instead try and gather as much information from them regarding their business. When they ask about yours, try to explain it in layman terms so that they would be able to understand you perfectly. Once you have done that, you should ask them for some referrals. This is where you make your pitch, indicate to the business owner that you may have a solution that will meet both of your needs. You may need to do a follow up meeting or two to wrap the whole thing up. This kind of approach may seen time consuming to others but it is generally effective. Once the deal is inked, do not forget to collect at least 50% of the payment in advance just to be safe.

You can always provide more services later on but for the moment, do a good job so that your services are valued. If you can do all that I have listed above at least 10 times a week, you should have more orders than you know what to do with. One of my acquaintances did the same thing and within a matter of a day he had managed to net himself $1500. The only person stopping you from earning all that money is you if you do not want to follow the steps that I have listed above. If you’re a beginner in online marketing, there’s a good chance you’ve come across online marketing videos on the internet, offering to teach you everything from starting your own online marketing business to product creation to customer relations. For more details go to: www.website-conversion-mastery.com this is one of the savviest techniques to come out of the Internet, particularly because it’s convenient, provides immediate deployment and is easy to share. Is this the right medium for you? Below, we take a look at the advantages of internet marketing videos and how they can benefit your online marketing business. Why you should consider internet marketing videos Internet marketing videos serve two major purposes – first is to inform viewers about a company’s product and/or service and to inform or instruct site visitors. If you’re a beginner in online marketing, internet marketing videos can teach you a lot of things about the industry you’re in. Online marketing has developed at such a fast rate that trends and practices prevalent just 12 months ago are already considered ineffective today. Internet marketing videos, produced at a fast rate by other online marketers, are constantly updated and as such, can provide you with the latest information about the business. Internet marketing videos are also a very efficient way to learn, whether you’re a beginner or have some level of experience. They are easier to process, can present topics in much more interesting and exciting ways compared to the more static textual information you’re so used to seeing. Videos are also easier to share. Should you find a very interesting clip, you could copy it, forward it as a file or just simply provide a link to it from your website or e-mail message. What to look for in internet marketing videos Truth to tell, not all internet marketing videos are useful for your online marketing business. For every video out there that offers you high quality learning and information, there are two or three others that are completely useless. In fact, an online marketing insider has even come up with a Top 10 list of the worst internet marketing videos available today. This is why you should be careful about what you view. The best thing to do for an online marketing beginner when looking for an internet marketing video is to search for individual names and companies first. Online marketing is a rather exclusive industry and with a little bit of effort in research, you will be able to come across names of individuals who are viewed as trusted experts and gurus online. Many of these people come up with their own videos, some of which are informational and others, tutorial. Take note of these personalities and do a second search, this time to look for videos in which these people have appeared. This will help ensure you only access quality internet marketing videos. You might also want to check out reviews in industry forums and websites. Your fellow online marketers are an excellent source of information about news and trends. For can visit to: www.tube-traffic.com they have some of the best sources for learning about your industry. Where to find internet marketing videos Many internet marketing experts post their videos on their websites. If you have a list of reliable names in the online marketing industry, search for their websites and you’re likely to find links to their internet marketing videos. You might also want to search for videos on websites created by other online marketers. Many of these people, while not yet industry experts themselves, will gladly post the latest videos for other people to view, either as a way to share information or to build traffic to their websites. You could also search for videos on video sites, such as Google Video, Blip.tv and YouTube. Video clips are categorized here and many online marketers frequent these sites. Using your own internet marketing videos Create your own internet marketing videos if you want to introduce your company, product or service. However, if you wish to teach others about the industry, it’s recommended that you gain enough experience in online marketing before you try to come up with your own internet marketing videos. It takes a bit of recognizability and reputation before you can convincingly produce an internet marketing video that people will believe. As a beginner in online marketing, you do not have these, at least, not yet. You’ll also need good experience in the industry plus a truly important idea that the industry will find valuable. You might have a good idea right now but you will need to back it up with much needed reputation. People want proof that something will work and to convince them, you’ll need to show some evidence.

video downloaded does not show anywhere ? How do I create videos with movie clips and musichave seen tons of videos on here with clips from movies or tv shows that have songs with them as well. I just wanted to know how to make them, since I am new to youtube.

i also want to know the same ,plsssssssssssssssss help us

You need video editing software. I’m sure Windows Movie Maker (included with Windows) would probably suit your purposes. However, be aware that any videos that you make with copyrighted songs in them may get removed or muted for copyright infringement. Any videos that you have seen that have copyrighted music in them that haven’t been crippled/removed either just haven’t been caught yet, or are using YouTube’s AudioSwap feature, with which you can swap the original video’s audio with a music track that YouTube has been given the rights to broadcast. If you aren’t careful, you could get into legal trouble, so I don’t know if it would be wise to get into make music videos.

well first you will need to obtain the clips you want, either through downloading them onto your computer or by video typing them yourself. Then you must obtain a movie editing software. At this stage you have many options to chose from, however many of these programs are rather expensive, or only provide basic features in free versions. If you do not want to look for a movie editing program and you use a windows computer you are in luck, almost all windows computers already have microsoft movie maker installed on them, and the program can be obtained from their website for free. Although this program will not allow to make the most advanced movies it is excellent for beginners like you and me. If you are having troubles with the windows movie maker a tutorial can be found here

hopefully i have provided enough information for you to begin making videos. Keep in mind that after you make your movie all you need to do is press the upload button on your profile to get the videos online

f you thought i was helpful please do me the favor of checking out my channel and videos, i too have just starting uploading on youtube. Have a good night.

woops i forgot to give you my youtube channel, ok wellthis is it http:ou find this answer helpful? However, be aware that any videos that you make with copyrighted songs in them may get removed or muted for copyright infringement.
