According to the graphs here (http://www.internettrafficreport.com/30day.htm), global Internet traffic has gone up significantly and suddenly in the past 3 days. What’s even more interesting is that Overall Packet Loss has gone down significantly in the past 3 days. So, whatever caused the spike in traffic, is doing it with virtually no packet loss.
Friends have told me they think their internet experience has slowed down during this time.
